Renewed Protest Clashes in Turkey VPN

Turkish police have fired tear gas and water cannons at protesters in Istiklal street in the Turkish city of Istanbul.

Demonstrators had gathered to protest against the arrest of Gezi Park protesters and members of the Takism Solidarity Group, the orginsation which helped to lead recent anti-government protests in Turkey.

There is no indication that the protests themselves were violent. Police deployed water canons and tear gas to disperse the crowds and force protesters to leave the area.
