Pakistani Taliban Joins Fight With Syrian Rebels VPN

The Pakistani Taliban has said that its fighters have arrived in Syria to fight alongside rebels struggling to overthrow the government.

The presence of the Taliban will strengthen the hand of Sunni Islamists militants, who have played a major role in the uprising, but who have been under pressure from secular rebel groups trying to please their western backers in the USA and Europe.

It will also be seen as a further sign that the Syrian war is increasingly spreading out beyond the borders of Syria itself. The news comes on the same day that a prominent pro-Syrian government media commentator was assassinated in Lebanon.
